What happens if my return gets rejected by the IRS?
Don’t worry. Though it can be stressful, having your return rejected by the IRS is not the end of the world and often proves very easy to fix. Every e-filed return that the IRS rejects will be accompanied by at least one rejection code telling you what’s wrong with your return.
Sometimes the fix will be as simple as logging back into your account and making sure that your name and Social Security number are correct. Other times it will be a bit more complicated.
If you have any questions about what your rejection means or how to fix it, please do not hesitate to live chat one of our customer service agents or call us at 877-289-7580.
