Why am I not receiving the moving expense deduction after I enter the required information?
In order to qualify for the moving expense deduction, you must pass the distance test. Your new job must be at least 50 miles farther from your old home than your old job location was from your old home. Please be sure that you received confirmation on the Moving Expense section that you passed the test before proceeding. You will see the confirmation in BLUE confirming that you pass the distance test, or you will receive a message in RED indicating that you have not passed the distance test.
